The Muslim Judicial Council Halaal Trust (MJCHT) has recently launched their website (https://mjchalaaltrust.co.za/). The website aims to propel the MJCHT into the digital era by digitising their halal certification process.

With this new online extension of the Halaal Trust, the MJCHT also aims to clarify what exactly “halal” is and in so doing increase awarness about the importance of understanding the intricacies of halal and living a halal lifestyle. The website provides various articles, downloadable books and other online resources to educate visitors.

To support this even further, the MJCHT website also features an interactive discussion forum that will allow members of the local community and visitors of the website a chance to engage with members of the MJCHT regarding questions and concerns they may have regarding issues surrounding matters of Halal.

The team at Endor Media is very excited about the completion and reception of the project and the launch of the website. We would like to thank the MJCHT for extending this opportunity to us and wish them all the best for the future.

About the Muslim Judicial Council Halaal Trust (SA)

The MJC Halaal Trust (MJCHT) is a major role-player in the positive promotion of and orientation on halal lifestyle for South African Muslims, specifically and other communities, globally.

The MJCHT thus specialized in the certification and endorsement of food commodities and other consumables as halal, in accordance with Islamic principles, ethics, values and standards. This took the format of ‘halal certification services-rendered’ which entails, amongst other services, checking on the halal feasibility, control and compliance of a business, facility or commodity. It is a process that ensures halal-control of the entire halal-chain from origination (raw material) till consumption by the consumer.

Procedurally, the MJCHT ensures that the halal management-structures of the entire halal operation or “halal-chain” from A to Z is controlled, monitored, supervised, inspected and audited. Once all the halal requirements and controls are satisfactorily met, a halal certificate is issued.
